Espresso roaster and beer brewer King State is opening a St. Petersburg location

In style Tampa-based espresso roaster and beer brewer King State’s empire is increasing to downtown St. Petersburg.

Adam Massey, who’s a barback on the Tampa location, showed the growth around the bay. The brand new King State location might be within the impending COHatch, a St. Petersburg offshoot of the Tampa co-working house coming to fifteen 8th St. N.

Based by way of brothers-in-law Nate Younger and Tim McTague, King State opened on Floribraska Road in 2019. Along with craft espresso and beer, the spot has a meals menu and whole liquor bar.

Younger is an authentic member of Anberlin, an alternative-emo crew from Florida; McTague toured with Tampa-based metalcore crew Underoath. The theory for King State got here from the kind of spots they’d common whilst traveling with their bands.
